Easy Chocolate frosting for small cakes, brownies, cookies and cupcakes
Small batch chocolate frosting recipe
- 1/3 cup butter softened (about 5 ½ tbsps)
- 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
Add butter to medium mixing bowl. Beat butter for several minutes until light and texture is airy.
Add powdered sugar in batches, mix until fully combined.
Add cocoa powder, continue to mix.
Mix in vanilla extract and milk. Use lesser amount of milk if you want a stiff frosting. Only frost cooled cakes, cookies, brownies, etc. or else it'll melt off your treats!
Option to be made vegan or dairy free by using a plant based butter such as country crock avocado oil sticks, and soy milk. Plant based alternatives may yield different results.
